I had reached a point where there was not enough caffeine I could put into my body that would give me the energy boost I desperately needed. I also was holding onto body fat that I could not get rid of for the life of me, and I noticed that the scale number was inching up despite what I did. I was getting frustrated and I just didn’t get it!
I was eating “healthy” and I was working out daily, yet something was “off” with my body.

Did You Know?

A toxin is a poison produced through biological processes. Your body can accumulate both natural and manmade toxins when you ingest food and water and when you breathe.

Does this sound like you?

My patients come into the ER all the time sharing with me their frustrations around low energy, bloating, acne and not being able to lose weight.

I get it!

  • Your body feels off.
  • Your clothes are getting tighter.
  • You constantly feel bloated and gassy – maybe you have issues with constipation.
  • Your skin is erupting with acne.
  • You have zero energy.
  • You feel down and defeated.

Well, keep reading…

One day, I got a nudge from the Universe that it was time to try something different. I’d hurt my shoulder and couldn’t work out. My body was telling me that I needed a break!
At that point, I could have easily cried in frustration and fear that I would now gain even MORE weight because of my lack of movement, or I could make a decision that would empower me. I decided on the latter! I chose to focus on nutrition and finally decided to try something I had been avoiding for years: A Cleanse!
Our body is exposed to toxins all the time, especially in the foods we eat!
A cleanse is important because it allows you to eliminate all the processed and inflammatory foods that may be causing disruption and stress within your body. In short, it’ll help you get rid of the toxins!
For some people, their body is so inflamed that how they feel WITH that inflammation is their norm. They don’t realize that they could be feeling significantly better!
That was me.

A cleanse is all about resting, detoxifying, and nourishing your body.

In an ideal cleanse you are not supposed to even exercise because exercise is a stress on the body and causes acid to build up in your muscles and blood.
You also want to follow a cleanse for at least 21-24 days because that is how long it takes your body to eliminate the antibodies in that have formed from the foods you’ve been eating.

You also want to follow a cleanse for at least 21-24 days because that is how long it takes your body to eliminate the antibodies in that have formed from the foods you’ve been eating.
So I started with a simple 3-week cleanse that worked toward eliminating processed foods, sugars, dairy, gluten, caffeine, and alcohol.
I know it sounds like I eliminated everything, but there really are some amazing all-natural foods that you can eat that will keep you full and satisfied! Plus, I didn’t go cold turkey and stop everything all at once. I actually used the first week as a transition period.
If you need a cleanse to try, I created one based on what’s worked well for me: http://healthyercleanse.com
The first 2-3 days were difficult because of the detoxing symptoms like a headache and low energy, but once I pushed through those days, I started to experience the full benefits.
Within one week, my energy level significantly started improving, my belly bloat diminished, and I lost about 7 lbs!
I felt AMAZING!
I continued on for a total of 3 weeks and experienced the greatest natural high of my life as my body was finally cleansing and getting only nutrient dense fuel and no processed crap.
I actually lost a total of 14 lbs during those 3 weeks! It was absolutely incredible!

Important Note:

The purpose of this cleanse is not weight loss, even though that does happen.
Its purpose is to reboot your body and help you get to a point where you:

1. Recognize what your body feels like when you use clean fuel to nourish it.

2. Understand what foods cause an inflammatory response within YOUR body.

Then the learning begins!

After the 3-4 week phase, you then introduce foods one-at-a-time to see how your body reacts.
For me, this period was the most eye-opening because I learned about foods that I had been eating for years that were actually making my body sick.
During that first week of reintroduction, I learned that I was gluten sensitive and that when I ate foods that contained too much yeast my stomach would instantly bloat and I would feel heavy and tired.
That was definitely new to me because I didn’t realize I had that intolerance!

Doing a cleanse absolutely changed my relationship with food. As I became more knowledgeable about what foods my body couldn’t tolerate I had to make the decision if eating those inflammatory foods was worth the pain and symptoms I would get. It truly helped me to break up with certain foods.

I recommend that everyone at least go through some sort of elimination cleanse at least once so that you can really understand what foods do not sit well in your body. You must be a student of your body to understand how to better nourish and take care of it!  I know it can be frustrating at times learning about what’s best for you but I promise that staying persistent in becoming an expert in YOU will be worth it!

I would love for you to try the cleanse I created based on my experience! Click below to order a copy!
